GGG confirms next fight against Sergiy Derevyanchenko for vacant IBF middleweight title

Former Unified Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has confirmed that his next fight against Sergiy Derevyanchenko for the vacant IBF middleweight title will be on the 5th of October this year in New York.

The former unified champion is hoping to regain the IBF title after being stripped last June for failing to agree terms for a defence against Ukrainian Derevyanchenko.

Golovkin is returning to Madison Square Garden where he has six knockout victories and intends to start a new reign as world champion with an explosive victory.
