Former Fiji 7s team Captain passes away

Former Fiji 7s team Captain Aliposo Waqaliti passed away in Santa Rosa, California yesterday at the age of 59.

Waqaliti had moved to America 7 years ago.

He had captained Fiji in the 1984 Hong Kong 7s where Fiji beat New Zealand 26-0 in the final.

Waqaliti is survived by his wife, two children and three grandchildren.

Funeral details would be confirmed on Monday.
