Fiji U20 makes perfect start in World Rugby Championship after thumping Uruguay

The Fiji U20 rugby team has made a perfect start in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in Romania after thrashing Uruguay 55-34 in their opening match.

Fiji scored nine tries in the match while flyhalf Caleb Muntz made five conversions.

Flanker Saimoni Uluinakauvadra and Ratu Meli Turagaca scored two tries each in the match.

Fiji got two yellow cards in the match.

The next match for the Fiji U20 rugby team is against Portugal on Sunday.

The winner of the Under 20 Trophy will earn promotion to next year's Under 20 World Championship.
