The Fiji Men’s Volleyball team is aiming to win their first ever gold medal at the Pacific Games this year.
Coach Kenneth Lidise says the side finished in 5th place in 2011 and won a silver medal in the 90s.
Lidise says the team has been preparing since last year and also took part at the Good Neighbour Volleyball Tournament in Australia as a build up for the Pacific Games next month.
He says with the likes of Nimilote Lua, Inia Korowale, Hanisoko Moeva and Ratu Iliatia Vakayadara, they have a good chance of winning gold.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month.
