Cuvu College to face RKS in 2018 Deans U18 final

Cuvu College will face Ratu Kadavulevu School in the Powerade Super Deans competition Under 18 final next weekend.

It is history in making as the Under 18 Cuvu College team is through to the final for the first time after outclassing Marist Brothers High School 12-10 in the first semifinal at the ANZ Stadium.

After a hard fought battle, Cuvu managed to keep the momentum with their structured defense.

Cuvu’s Nacanieli Boginisoko and Sanaila Daniva scored a try while Rusiate Baleitamavua scored both tries for Marist.

Ratu Kadavulevu School qualified for the final after outclassing Ratu Navula College 36-5.

RKS Assistant Principal, Walesi Soqoiwasa has thanked all the coaches and managers of the grades that qualified for the final.

He says they respect their opposition.

Most of the players in the team were also athletes in the Coca-Cola Games.

RKS has already qualified for four finals in the Powerade Super Deans competition next weekend.

That’s in the Under 14, Under 15, Under 16 and Under 19 grade.

In the Under 14 grade, Ratu Kadavulevu School will meet Queen Victoria School in the final.

Ratu Kadavulevu School defeated Lelean Memorial School 19-8 while Queen Victoria School beat Suva Grammar School 43-6.

Ratu Kadavulevu School will also face off with Lelean Memorial School in the Under 15 final.

Lelean Memorial defeated Queen Victoria School 26-16 to qualify for the Under 15 final while Ratu Kadavulevu School thrashed Marist Brothers High School 25-7.

In the Under 16 grade, Ratu Kadavulevu School will meet Queen Victoria School in the final.

Ratu Kadavulevu School defeated Natabua High School 15-9 while QVS beat Suva Grammar School 17-15.

In the Under 17 grade, Lelean Memorial School will meet Queen Victoria School in the final.

Queen Victoria School edged Marist Brothers High School 25-21 while Lelean Memorial School defeated Ratu Navula College 17-15.

In the Under 19 grade, Ratu Kadavulevu School defeated John Wesley College 22-3 while Lelean Memorial School beat Nasinu Secondary School 12-6.
