The Flying Fijians coaching staff is still after the services of France based fullback Norman Ligairi for the Rugby World Cup.
Backline coach Shannon Fraser said that during the World Cup, experience will play a key role in which Ligairi has an edge over some of the younger players.
2007 RWC fullback Kameli Ratuvou is the leading contender with Dan Rawaqa also in the running while young Kini Murimurivalu and Josh Matavesi can also get the nod.
The Flying Fijians 50 member squad for RWC and PNC will be named on Saturday while 28 players from within this squad will represent Fiji for the PNC and the rest will continue their preparation for the RWC.
Fiji’s first PNC game is on the 2nd of next month against Samoa.
