North Queensland's finals hopes are in jeopardy after the Brisbane Broncos outclassed its fierce rival 20‑10 last night.
Broncos star full‑back Darius Boyd got a hamstring injury in the match.
The Cowboys now need either the Penrith Panthers to beat the Manly Sea Eagles at 7.30pm tomorrow or the Bulldogs to defeat the Dragons at 6pm Sunday to sneak in to the last eight.
The Paramatta Eels will meet the Rabbitohs at 9.50 tonight.
