An Argentine is set to head the Fiji soccer team to this year's Pacific Games in New Caledonia.
Fijivillage has established that Claudio Canosa who is currently coaching Macarthur soccer club in Australia is likely to get the position as he was in Fiji last month during the National soccer team's first training session.
Canosa who has played professional football in Argentina, is in fruitful talks with the Fiji Football Association and it is understood the Argentine has agreed with the terms and conditions set by the Fiji FA.
Former National soccer coach, Yogendra Dutt tendered in his resignation due to his busy schedule earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Fijivillage has also established that former Labasa and Navua soccer player, Usenio Logaivou has been appointed the Women's Football Development Manager.
Logaivou is currently helping the Navua soccer team as a Technical Advisor.
