The UK government has warned that Elon Musk’s social media platform X could be blocked if it doesn't follow online safety rules.
This comes after X’s AI tool, Grok, was used to create fake, sexual images of women and girls without their permission, which made people feel humiliated and unsafe.
X has now limited this feature to paying users only, but many say that’s not enough.
Government ministers, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, have called the tool disgusting and shameful.
Media watchdog Ofcom is urgently looking into the issue and says it may take action soon, stressing that if X doesn’t follow the law, it could be blocked in the UK.
Some MPs also want the government to stop using X for official posts, saying it puts children at risk.
