A woman in her 30s will appear in court today for alleged unlawful possession of explosives as she was allegedly found with a non-lethal device used by defence forces to disorient targets and methamphetamine during a joint raid in Delainavesi.
She is also charged with one count of possession of breaking implements and one count of possession of property believed to be proceeds of crime.
Police say the accused, who was previously charged for similar drug-related offences, was arrested during a joint raid conducted by officers from the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department (SOCID), the Southern Division Taskforce and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit last Friday.
They say the substances found in her vehicle tested positive for methamphetamine.
The accused will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
