Get ready for a very wet Easter weekend as a heavy rain alert is now is force for the whole of Fiji.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure approaches the group from later today.
Associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the Northern and Eastern Division from later today, and gradually spread to the rest of the group from tomorrow.
They say there will be occasional rain, heavy at times, and a few thunderstorms developing over the Northern and Eastern Division from later today.
The Weather Office says possible impacts include flash flooding of flood prone low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses and Irish Crossings leading to traffic disruptions as well as surface flooding on streets in urban areas with poor drainage.
Also expect wet roads and reduced visibility, especially during heavy rain, increasing the risk of road accidents.
