Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Virimi Vakatawa has expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to play at home and has called on fans to show strong and consistent support for the team throughout the season.
Speaking after their match against the Skipper Selects, Vakatawa thanked the opposition for providing a competitive contest and acknowledged the valuable experience gained from the match.
He stressed the importance of fan support, reminding supporters that the Drua represents the people of Fiji and plays with national pride.
Vakatawa urged fans to stand by the team not only during the opening matches, but throughout the entire Super Rugby Pacific campaign.
The Drua will take on the Moana Pasifika this Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 4pm.
