Police have yet to lay charges against the two men involved in an attempted robbery in Tacirua yesterday morning.

The suspects were apprehended by the Southern Division Taskforce, although some officers sustained injuries after the men threw stones at them during the arrest.

The Fiji Police Force has commended the brave actions of the family in warding off the suspects, and provided crucial information that led to the quick arrests, as well as members of the community for sharing information with the investigating officers.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, capturing a woman bravely throwing stones at one of the suspects to defend her home.

The two men remain in police custody as investigations continue.
