Stranger Things creators say only Millie Bobby Brown knows Eleven’s fate

The fate of Eleven in the series finale of 'Stranger Things' has been left deliberately unclear, but the show’s creators have revealed that actress Millie Bobby Brown knows exactly what happened to her character.

Speaking in a spoiler interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast on January 4, creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed they have decided the definitive answer to whether Eleven lived or died.

That answer, however, has been shared only with Brown and will not be revealed publicly.

The rest of the cast has also been kept in the dark.

During the interview, Duffer said he even messaged Brown to remind her not to tell her co-star Noah Schnapp, joking that he could not be trusted with secrets.

Brown replied shortly after, confirming she would not share the information.

In the final episode of Stranger Things, released on New Year’s Eve, Eleven appears to sacrifice herself as the Upside Down is destroyed, seemingly giving her life to protect her friends.

However, the closing scene leaves room for doubt, with Mike suggesting that Eleven may have faked her death and could still be alive.

The creators have made it clear that the mystery surrounding Eleven’s fate is intended to remain unresolved, leaving fans to decide for themselves what they believe happened.
