Are we doing enough?

Sonia Shanaaz, a mother who is raising her 10 year old daughter living with a disability, appears on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan tonight.

As we enter the festive season, the determined mother will speak candidly about the serious lack of support for people looking after their children living with disabilities, the silence when assistance is being sought, the extreme difficulties and challenges being faced and the ways that she is advocating for more access and assistance.

The show will focus in detail on whether we as a country are doing enough to assist people living with disabilities and their carers, and what we all need to do to provide the much needed help.
