Reapi Ulunisau's double could not help the Fiji Airways Fijiana side as they went down 17-14 to France in the 5th place play off at the Singapore 7s.

Alycia Christiaens was on fire with her two tries with Lou Noel adding the extra.

France led 12-7 at half time.

In their other games, the Fijiana lost 35-7 to Australia, they were also beaten 17-12 by the USA before finally winning 34-12 in their last pool game against Japan.

Richie Walker's side will have to regroup and get ready for the Perth 7s next weekend if they want to place higher.

The pools are not out yet for the Perth 7s which are on this Saturday and Sunday.
