More than 600 Fijians will now be employed at RCL Services Pte Limited following the launch of its newly expanded office of approximately $600,000 in Valelevu Tax Free Zone.
RCL Services Chief Executive Officer, Nicolas Harrak says their company needed a second site after reaching capacity at its primary office located nearby.
RCL provides contact centre solutions for range of Australia and New Zealand organizations.
Harrak says the expansion will allow the company to employ more Fijians and continue growing its operations locally.
He confirms that support from Fiji National Provident Fund helped make the expansion possible, with a dedicated team established about four months ago to drive the project forward.
Meanwhile, Australian High Commission DFAT First Secretary for Economic, Trade and Development, Emily Wilson, describes the expansion as a proud moment for Fiji’s outsourcing sector.
Wilson highlights the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership, saying the Australian Government remains committed to supporting economic diversification and growth in Fiji.
She says Australian clients continue to be encouraged by the high-quality work delivered from Fiji, expressing confidence in the sector’s future.
Wilson also stresses that the expansion creates meaningful opportunities for young people, particularly women, noting that 80 per cent of RCL’s workforce in Fiji are women.
She adds that this reflects the company’s inclusive culture and commitment to economic empowerment, especially significant as International Women’s Day approaches this weekend.
