The Fiji Rakavi Football Union has announced that Pita Tutuvula Waqanivalu will take over as its new Chief Financial Officer from February 2026.

FRU says Waqanivalu will be responsible for leading the union’s financial strategy with a focus on fiscal discipline, governance improvements, and long-term growth.

Chief Executive Officer, Koli Sewabu says the appointment is a key move as the union looks to strengthen its impact both locally and internationally.

He says Waqanivalu brings more than 10 years of senior leadership experience in the public and private sectors, including roles such as Manager Finance at the Public Rental Board and iTaukei Land Trust Board, and Acting CFO at the Water Authority of Fiji.

Waqanivalu is a Chartered Accountant and Associate Member of CPA Australia. He is also affiliated with the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
