Reverend Simione Tugi
One of the country’s strongest advocates against drugs, Reverend Simione Tugi has passed away.

He was the General Secretary of Fiji Evangelical Fellowship and a former General Secretary of the Fiji Council of Churches.

Reverend Simione Tugi had appeared on fijivillage Straight Talk in February last year and publicly shared about the serious battle against drugs within families.

His final message to us on Christmas Day last year was:

"It's been a good year my brother. Thank you so much for everything, my daughter and her husband were reunited and are now in the husband's village in Natewa. They are doing community work and out of drugs."

May Reverend Tugi rest in peace and may we continue to work as a country to fight against drugs.

The funeral details are yet to be released.
