The Wests Tigers have moved up to second place on the NRL points table following their 22-20 win over the Parramatta Eels in an Easter Monday classic at CommBank Stadium.
26-year-old Jock Madden was the hero for the Tigers after slotting a penalty goal in golden point.
The game went into golden point after Mitch Moses and Madden nailed two penalty goals. Madden then stepped up again in the 84th minute to give the Api Koroisau-captained side their third win from four games this season.
Meanwhile, Adam Doueihi, Jahream Bula and Faaletino Tavana scored one try each for the Wests Tigers.
After Round 5, the Panthers continue to lead with 10 points, while the Wests Tigers, Knights and Rabbitohs are level on 8 points.
Looking ahead to this week’s matches, the Bulldogs will take on the Panthers at 9.50pm on Thursday, the Dragons will meet the Sea Eagles at 8pm on Friday, and the Broncos will face the Cowboys at 10pm.
