A double celebration unfolded at the Vodafone Arena today when two siblings walked the graduation stage together, one completing a Bachelor of Environmental Health and the other a Bachelor of Nursing.
The Moceyawa siblings both attended Vashist Muni Primary School and Vashist Muni College in Navua during their primary and secondary education.
Mosese Moceyawa, who graduated in Environmental Health, says he only completed secondary school up to Year 11 before pursuing preliminary studies at USP, after which he transferred to FNU to continue his degree.

Moceyawa says that due to financial challenges, he decided to stay home for two semesters and care for his aunt, who had always looked after him and his siblings when they were young.
The 27-year-old adds that most afternoons after school, he would sell vegetables and juice in Tamavua to help support his education.
Meanwhile, his sister, Losalini Babiau Moceyawa, says that because of the struggles their mother faced as the only breadwinner, she tried her best to complete her studies.

Babiau says having two siblings studying at university at the same time was not easy for the family because of the financial demands.
The 21-year-old says that being the only girl in the family, she was always favoured by her aunt, who passed away after her Year 13 exams.
The Moceyawa siblings acknowledged their mother, who is a midwife at the Navua Hospital, for her hard work and endless support.
