The man who allegedly murdered his wife after a heated argument in Veisari on Saturday has been told by the Suva Magistrates Court to seek legal representation and will appear in court again on the 17th.

Taione Senikaucava appeared in court today before Magistrate Yogesh Prasad, after being charged with one count of murder.

When asked in court how he wished to be represented, Senikaucava told the court that he would be representing himself.

Magistrate Prasad advised Senikaucava that due to the seriousness of the charge, he needs to seek assistance from Legal Aid.

Magistrate Prasad says the first step is for him to obtain advice from Legal Aid, and that lawyers will look into the matter since it is a serious offence.
