The man who allegedly sexually assaulted a nurse in Ono-i-Lau last month has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.
23-year-old Senikarawa Kotobalavu is charged with a count each of sexual assault and criminal trespass.
He allegedly committed the offence on December 30th last year.
Kotobalavu appeared before Resident Magistrate Aisea Paka this afternoon.
When asked in court, Kotobalavu has elected for his case to be heard in the Magistrates Court.
Kotobalavu has been released on bail for $500 with two sureties.
His bail conditions are for him to reside with his uncle and not to change where he lives, not to reoffend while on bail, not to interfere with prosecution witnesses, and not to leave the country.
