Lateef to take plea on meth possession charge on Feb 25th

Former Suva lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef will take his plea on the 25th of this month where he was allegedly found with methamphetamine last year. 

He is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs. 

Lateef was allegedly found with 0.584 grams of methamphetamine in Suva on December 4th last year. 

Meanwhile, Lateef has been convicted for the unlawful possession of 9.5 grams of methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of marijuana on 9th May 2019.

The State filed their sentencing submissions today while the defence was not ready with their mitigation submission.

The sentencing hearing for that case is on Friday.
