Laqeni pleads not guilty to murder

The man who allegedly killed his defacto partner between the 3rd to 5th September in Nakasi this year has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Epeli Laqeni appeared before Justice Usaia Ratuvili in the Suva High Court this morning.

The State is moving to file voir dire grounds as they now take steps to take it to trial.

The case has been adjourned to 5th January, 2026.
