Concerns have been raised after the Kinoya Assembly of God Church experienced its fourth break-in, resulting in more than $10,000 worth of damages and stolen property.
Senior Pastor Philip Madhavan says in the latest incident, offenders broke into the church’s main office at the church property in Kinoya, causing significant damage to the walls and property before removing the church safe.
Madhavan says the safe contained members’ offerings and donations collected during the weekend services, as well as kindergarten fees.
He says the offenders also used a wheelbarrow belonging to the church to transport the safe from the premises.
The Senior Pastor says the repeated incidents are deeply distressing for the church community despite efforts to increase security at the facility.

Madhavan says the stolen offerings represented the sacrificial giving of members who faithfully support the work and ministry of the church.
He says the church hopes the Fiji Police Force will thoroughly investigate the matter and take the necessary steps to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
Despite the setback, Madhavan says the church community remains steadfast in its faith and has chosen to forgive those responsible while praying for their repentance and transformation.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the relevant authorities.
Questions have been sent to the Police. They are yet to respond.
