ACT Brumbies prop James Slipper will break the all-time Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific appearance record when he runs on the field tonight in their Round 6 clash with the Chiefs at GIO Stadium in Canberra.

Having drawn level with Crusaders legend Wyatt Crockett on 202 games two weeks ago, Slipper will make his record-breaking 203rd Super Rugby appearance as the Brumbies look to bounce back on home turf following a challenging trip to Fiji.

Crockett will join the Brumbies faithful at GIO Stadium, flying in from New Zealand to be part of the occasion, as Slipper takes over the record the former All Black has held since 2017.

Slipper, 36, made his Super Rugby debut in 2010 for the Queensland Reds, where he went on to play 104 Super Rugby games and was a member of the championship-winning team of 2011.

In 2019, he moved to Canberra to join the Brumbies, with Friday's game marking his 99th Super Rugby appearance for the club.

Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley says that breaking the all-time Super Rugby appearance record is a remarkable achievement and an undeniable testament to James Slipper's durability, professionalism and commitment to the game.

The Brumbies host the Chiefs at 8.35 tonight at GIO Stadium.

In other games, the Highlanders play the Hurricanes at 6.05 tonight, and tomorrow the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will face the Reds at 3.35pm in Lautoka, Moana Pasifika host the Crusaders at 6.05pm, while the Waratahs play the Blues at 8.35pm.
