Fiji’s diplomatic community gathered in Suva to honour the life and legacy of the late former President of Fiji, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, a leader respected in both Fiji and around the world.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sakiasi Ditoka, and members of the Diplomatic Corps paid their respects by signing the condolence book and honoring his life of service.

Ratu Epeli is remembered as a unifying figure, a high chief, statesman, diplomat and soldier, whose leadership helped shape Fiji’s place on the global stage.

Tributes continue to highlight his ability to unite people, his respect for others, and his strong commitment to serving the nation.

According to the Government, those who knew him remember not just his achievements, but also his warmth and friendly nature, a leader who connects with people from all walks of life and carried himself with dignity and grace.

The condolence book is open at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Suva until next Wednesday, as people continue to pay their respects.
