The Nadi Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure, accompanied by cloud and rain, is approaching Fiji from the west and is expected to affect the group from later today until late Thursday.
Meanwhile, a moist north-west to north-east wind flow prevails over the country.
The Weather Office says people can expect cloudy periods with brief showers over Ba-Tavua-Vatukoula-Ra-Rakiraki-Tailevu, Interior Ba-Ra and Naitasiri.
They warn that heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
