A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the entire country.
The Nadi Weather Office also maintains a Flash Flood Alert for the Southern and Central Eastern Divisions—covering areas from Navua, Suva, and Nausori to Tailevu North, Ovalau, Kadavu, Nadi, Ba, Sigatoka, the Coral Coast, and parts of Southern Vanua Levu.
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain continues to affect the Fiji group.
Occasional rain, heavy at times, and a few thunderstorms are expected over most places. However, rain is forecast to ease across most areas from today.
The possible impacts include flash flooding in flood-prone and low-lying areas, especially informal settlements, communities, businesses, and Irish crossings—potentially causing traffic disruptions.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution as slippery roads may result in hazardous driving conditions, increased risk of accidents, and travel delays, particularly in poorly drained or low-lying areas.
