Grammar dominates 4x400 metres in Suva Zone 2

Suva Grammar dominated the 4x400 metres event
Suva Grammar School dominated the 4x400 metres this afternoon in the Suva Zone 2 at the HFC Bank Stadium after winning the subjunior girls, junior boys, inter boys, senior girls, and senior boys categories.

The team of Jeremiah Bainivalu, Saula Koroi, Fredrick Smith, and Mariwa Louis beat rivals Marist Brothers High School, who won silver, and Lomary Secondary School settled for bronze in the senior boys.

The Grammar senior girls made up of Lisa Cakaubulisova, Grace Corerega, Arieta Wainivetau, and Biulani Vakayadra outpaced St Joseph's Secondary School who won the silver while Lomary Secondary School had to settle for bronze.

In the inter boys Grammar won gold, Marist the silver while Lomary settled for silver.

The Grammar inter girls made up of Jasvil Rokoro, Makelesi, Elenoa Ratusaki and Sally Naisau held off Ratu Latianara College and Nuku Secondary School.

In the junior boys, Manase Tawake, Charlie Ligabalavu, Solomone Vakatale and Elijah Vakacegu edged out Marist and Ratu Latianara.

Lomary won the junior girls with their team of Raijeli Raikoro, Mereoni Nabogi, Adi Losalini and Naimasi Vina while Grammar settled for silver and Ratu Latianara taking bronze.

The team of Lawrence Nawaqanibau, Sakaraia Raiqavi, Sakiusa Vunivesilevu and Ponijese Bainimoli of Marist held off Grammar and Lomary in the subjunior boys 4x400 metres.

The subjunior girls of Grammar made up of Aseri Nasigaya, Akanisi Sokota, Una Serevi, and Salote Naibena held off Ratu Latianara and Lomary to scoop the first medals this afternoon.
