Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will focus on the positives and learn from their mistakes following their clash with Moana Pasifika as they fine-tune their preparations for this week’s matchup against the New South Wales Waratahs.

Head coach Glen Jackson says the Waratahs are a clinical side and stressed the importance of playing in the right areas of the field and maintaining aggression across all aspects of the game for the full 80 minutes.

He admits it was not the start the team had hoped for this season, but said the team will regroup and aim to deliver a strong performance this week.

Jackson also acknowledged captain and debutant Temo Mayanavanua for an impressive outing, including scoring his first try for the Drua, noting that it reflects the kind of leadership he brings to the side.

The Drua play the Waratahs at 8.35pm this Friday at Allianz Stadium.

In other games, the Hurricanes host Moana Pasifika at 6.05pm Friday.

On Saturday, the Highlanders host the Chiefs at 6.05pm, the Force meet the Blues at 8.35pm, while the Crusaders will meet the Brumbies at 2.35pm Sunday.
