Flagstaff drug accused Yin Qing Qing to be sentenced next Tuesday

Flagstaff drug accused, Yin Qing Qing will be sentenced next Tuesday in the Suva Magistrates Court.

She is charged with being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Yin Qing Qing pleaded guilty to the charge before Magistrate Sufia Hamza this afternoon.

She along with Joshua Ravula, were allegedly found with methamphetamine at the Yue Lai Hotel in October last year.

Ravula and Yin Qing Qing, who are charged with one count each of illicit drug possession, were allegedly found with 42.9 grams of methamphetamine. 

State Prosecutor, Eoghn Samisoni has asked the court for the accused to be fined and imprisoned while defence counsel, Lavenia Bogitini is asking for a suspended sentence.
