Fijiana 7s defended the Women’s title at the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s after defeating China 1, 22–5, in the final.
Speaking to fijivillage Sports, team captain Verenaisi Bari says this is a good start for the team as they prepare for the new season of the rugby series.
Bari says teamwork is vital for the side, especially with several new players joining the team for the Coral Coast 7s.
She adds that the team will now focus on the Singapore 7s, where players will have to fight for their spots in the tournament.
