Fiji will host 3-day Commonwealth Law Minister Meeting in Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Nadi starting tomorrow.
This is one of the largest international gatherings of Law Ministers and Attorney General's focused on legal co-operation.
At the meeting, ministers will examine progress in advancing access to justice and seek consensus on practical steps to remove barriers that prevent people from having their legal needs met.
The agenda will address a broad range of issues, including the role of technology in justice delivery, model contracts for natural resource governance, legal reform tools and stronger protections for fundamental rights.
The theme for this year is ‘Anchoring Justice in a Changing Tide: Strengthening the Rule of Law for a Resilient Future’.
Outcomes from the meeting will inform the Commonwealth Secretariat’s ongoing work under the Declaration on Access to Justice and help shape the agenda for the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda.
