The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s side will need their best performance in New York as the HSBC SVNS World Sevens Series title will be decided this weekend.
Fiji 7s Head Coach Osea Kolinisau had earlier highlighted that their main objective from the start of the series was to win the overall HSBC SVNS title.
However, Fiji face a tough pool as they will meet two teams they had lost to in Vancouver.
Argentina defeated Fiji 17-14 in the pool match while Spain edged Fiji 24-17 in the semi-finals.
Fiji have been one of the most consistent teams throughout the series, finishing in the top three at every tournament from Dubai to Vancouver.
They currently share the top spot with South Africa after the Blitzboks won the Vancouver 7s tournament, drawing level with Fiji on 86 points.
New Zealand are third with 70 points while Australia sits in fourth place with 68 points.
Defending series champions Argentina are sixth with 56 points and are unlikely to retain their title.
Fiji will open their New York 7s campaign against Argentina at 2am Sunday, followed by Great Britain at 4.56am and Spain at 8.14am.
The Cup semi-finals will begin at 4.28am Monday, while the Cup final is scheduled for 8.41am.
