People are being warned to be vigilant a recent scam identified by a concerned consumer, shows that scammers are impersonating business pages in an attempt to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers.

FCCC says this new scam that has reached their monitoring radar, impersonates the business page of a prominent person, the scammer requests for an investment of $20 with a promise of $2,100 within 1 hour of making your investment.

The scammer is requesting people to make payments via M-PAiSA.

FCCC strongly advises the public that any offer promising such an unrealistically high return on a small, immediate transfer of money is a scam.

They say these messages are designed solely to steal your funds, and any money sent will be lost.

They request the public not to respond, engage or transfer money and to stay vigilant, protect your hard-earned money and do not fall victim to such scams.

They are urging people to contact FCCC 8921991 to report suspicious activity.
