Fallen power lines and outage are affecting parts of the Western Division as Tropical Cyclone Vaianu intensifies, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.
Fallen power lines along Tavakubu Back Road in Lautoka are raising safety concerns.
Strong winds have caused an Energy Fiji Limited power post to fall along the Old Nadi Back Road, while earlier this morning, a fallen tree along Legalega Road in Nadi also caused damage to power lines.

Meanwhile, Energy Fiji Limited is urging people to stay away from fallen power lines and to exercise extreme caution.
EFL is also urging members of the public to report any such incidents immediately to EFL Emergency on 913.
Residents in Ba have remained without electricity since this morning, with no indication yet on when power will be restored.
Ba Special Administrator Moshim Khan says Ba town area and nearby communities, including Moto, Nukuloa, Vatulaulau, Yalalevu, Walalai and Votua, are currently without electricity.
He says while it is windy and rainy, there are no reports of flooding in the town area at this stage; however, continued rain could lead to flooding.
He says Ba Market remains closed after opening briefly this morning, with operations halted due to the power outage and safety concerns for vendors and the public, adding that the market may open tomorrow if weather conditions improve.
Khan says water supply remains available, with the Water Authority of Fiji continuing to assist and monitor substations.
He is urging people to stay safe, avoid taking unnecessary risks in the current weather, and follow advice from the National Disaster Management Office.
He adds that residents should contact police if they feel at risk.
