Elite Protection Security operations halted after state seizes licence documents

Jone Vakarisi

The Elite Protection Security has been unable to operate after the State seized its licensing documents, which are being held as evidence in a criminal case against Jone Vakarisi and three others.

The defence argued the seizure has caused serious business disruption and prevented the company from reapplying for a master licence, despite efforts to seek reconciliation since October this year.

While the State insisted the documents were lawfully seized and will not be released, the court acknowledged the impact on the business but said it cannot order their return.

The court encouraged the state to consider providing copies to the defence cousel.

The case has been adjourned to January 28th 2026 with bail conditions extended.
