As Ramadan fasting enters its final week, the Fiji Muslim League has confirmed that the moon for Eid will be sighted this Friday.
They say that if the moon is successfully sighted on Friday, Eid will be celebrated on Saturday, the 21st of March.
However, if the moon is not sighted on Friday, Eid will be celebrated on Sunday, the 22nd of March.
Meanwhile, during this month Muslims fast for a month, during which they do not eat or drink anything from dawn until sunset.
This is also considered a holy month to seek forgiveness, give to the poor, and strengthen faith through prayer and reflection.
