Devotees of the Vuniniudrovu Ram Krishna Hanuman Temple are expressing deep concern following a break-in yesterday and another alleged attempt this morning.

When fijivillage News visited the temple this morning, fresh footprints were visible around the premises, and marks were also seen on the windows.

Preacher Sandeep Prakash immediately contacted the Sawani Police, who arrived to inspect the area and confirmed that these marks were not present when they visited at around 7.30am.

A forensic team, along with a police K9 unit, later arrived to investigate the footprints.

Prakash says a syringe was also found yesterday.

He says this is the first time such an incident has occurred at the temple.

The preacher further says a Ramayan programme had been planned for last night.

Prakash says that when they arrived at the temple yesterday afternoon at around 5pm, they found the door open.

He says cash was missing from the donation box, along with a fan, a CCTV decoder and a TV monitor.

In response to our questions, Police say they are gathering statements from the temple management as investigations continue.
