The Suva High Court has ordered for Epeli Laqeni, who is alleged to have murdered his defacto partner in September last year to be medically examined and get a medical report from the CWM Hospital.
Laqeni appeared before Justice Usaia Ratuvili this morning, who ordered the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission to interview the accused at the Remand Centre.
These were two submissions made by the accused through Legal Aid counsel Timoci Varinava.
The third submission from Laqeni was to get the call records for his defacto partner but State Prosecutor, Naazish Ali says the phones are currently with the Fiji Police Force who are currently extracting information from them.
Laqeni will appear in court again on January 20th.
