Consolidation hearing for Flagstaff and Rewa Street drug cases on Thursday

The hearing on consolidating charges against Flagstaff drug accused Joshua Ravula with Rewa Street drug accused Yu Yang Feng, Minghui Dai and Zhou Lan as well as Lagomarcino Baules, Ginna Choi, and Peniasi Delai will be this Thursday. 

The counsel for Ravula, Amani Bale did not object to the consolidation but the counsel for the other 6 objected. 

Meanwhile, the court has granted Feng's counsel Shirley Tivao's application to file a report against a Corrections officer at Totogo Police Station.

Feng alleges he was assaulted by a Corrections Officer.

Suva Magistrate Sufia Hamza has also granted Tivao's application to summon the Corrections Officer In Charge on why Feng, Dai and Lan's medical report is not being furnished. 

State Counsel Eoghn Samisoni did not object. 

Ravula is charged with one count each of illicit drug possession, were he was allegedly found with 42.9 grams of methamphetamine at the Yue Lai Hotel in October last year.

Feng, Dai, and Lan are charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

It is alleged that the three were found with 39.509 grams of methamphetamine at Rewa Street in October last year. 

Meanwhile, Lagomarcino Baules, Ginna Choi, and Peniasi Delai are jointly charged with the unlawful possession of 0.345 grams of methamphetamine.
