Extra Bula FC defender Scott Wara says the team will continue to learn as games progress, but stressed that they team cannot afford to concede early goals and expect to make comebacks.

Wara made these comments after their sensational 3-2 win against South Island United FC earlier this week in the Solomon Islands.

He said character, determination, and teamwork are key, adding that the players were outstanding.

The defender also described football as a roller coaster, highlighting the ups and downs of the game.

Bula FC sits third on the league table with 15 points.

Auckland FC leads the standings with 23 points, South Melbourne is second with 18 points, while Solomon Kings round off the top four with 15 points.

The final round of the tournament before it splits into two categories of Leaders and Challengers will be in Fiji where Bula FC takes on PNG Hekari FC at 4R Stadium in Ba on the 12th of April.

Looking at the format of the tournament, in phase one of the Pro League, teams play each other twice over five rounds, with each team playing 14 matches.

In phase two, the league splits into two groups — Leaders and Challengers.

Teams then play others in their group once more.

The top three teams from the Leaders group go straight to the semi-finals.

The fourth-placed team in the Leaders group plays the top team from the Challengers group in a playoff for the final semi-final spot.

The semi-finals and final are single matches played at a central venue.

The winners of the semi-finals meet in the final to decide the first-ever OFC Pro League champions.

The league will also decide which team represents Oceania at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ and the FIFA Club World Cup.
