Apart from preparing for the Labasa Fiji Bitter 7s next week, the Baravi Legion Rugby team has been actively promoting positive values among its players, encouraging them to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Team President Sivo Laqai says this initiative was strongly emphasised during the Christmas season as part of the team’s effort to keep youths focused and on the right path.

Laqai says that the team is also working on developing stronger combinations, noting that most of the players are young, aged between 18 and 22.

He says to further build their skills and confidence, the team plans to participate in more tournaments to give the players greater exposure.

The Team President says the Baravi Legion team is confident and well prepared after completing three weeks of intensive mental and physical training.

He adds that the players have shown strong commitment throughout their preparation, with no major setbacks or weaknesses identified.

Laqai praises the effort of the boys and acknowledges the important role played by the coaching staff in guiding the team.

He is also calling on supporters to continue backing the team through prayers and well wishes as they head into the tournament, expressing hope that the players will give their best performance in Labasa.
