Eid to be celebrated today

Eid to be celebrated today
Muslims in Fiji are celebrating Eid today as the Fiji Muslim League confirmed that the moon was sighted last night.

Eid marks the end of a month of fasting during Ramadan.

During this month Muslims do not eat or drink anything from dawn until sunset.

Eid is a time to thank Allah for the strength to complete Ramadan.

Muslims give Zakat al-Fitr (charity) to help those in need so everyone can celebrate.

The day is marked with special prayers, feasting, family gatherings, and giving gifts.
