Arsenal missed the chance to restore their six-point advantage at the top of the Premier League after being held to a 1–1 draw at Brentford.
The Gunners had seen their lead halved when Manchester City beat Fulham yesterday, and the side faced a tough test against a Brentford team that have lost just twice at home this season.
After a goalless first half, Noni Madueke gave the Gunners the lead in the 61st minute, but Keane Lewis-Potter equalised ten minutes later.
Arsenal pushed for a late winner, but Brentford defended resolutely.
The draw leaves Arsenal’s lead at the top reduced and sets up a tense run-in for the title.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are leading the standings with 57 points, Manchester City are second with 53 points, Aston Villa are third with 50 points, and Manchester United are fourth with 45 points.
