Another five people, including one Australian citizen, who appeared in the Rakiraki Magistrates Court in relation to the $3 billion cocaine drug seizure, have been remanded.
The five accused are 46-year-old Manasa Saladrau of Waiyavi, Lautoka; 42-year-old self-employed Norman Fisher of Vuda, Lautoka; 36-year-old self-employed Sunia Kobululevu of Nanuya Street, Lautoka; 33-year-old Trevis Cheer, also of Nanuya Street, Lautoka; and 23-year-old Anaseini Lisa Kinikinilau Rokolati, an Australian citizen.
They appeared before Magistrate Timoci Qalinauci.
They all have been charged with conspiracy to commit the unlawful importation of illicit drugs.
Rokolati is a hotel worker living in Sydney, Australia, and it is alleged that she was arrested with Saladrau in Waiyavi, Lautoka.
In addition to the conspiracy charge, Kobululevu has been charged with criminal intimidation.
Saladrau and Rokolati have also been charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Saladrau is further charged with destroying evidence.
The matter has been transferred to the Ba High Court, and it has been adjourned to the 27th of this month, where 11 other accused people will appear.
