ACS team captain, Sereana Macedru thanked God for providing strength, as well as the stakeholders, teachers, staff, and former scholars for their support.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, Macedru acknowledged areas where they can improve, particularly in strengthening the bond between coaches and athletes.
She acknowledged the lively competition from other schools, emphasising the importance of respect and sportsmanship during the event.
Macedru says their squad is eager to showcase their growth and teamwork at the upcoming Coca-Cola Games.
Nakasi Principal, Praveen Chand says the school’s victory is a proud moment following a tough and highly competitive meet.
Chand says this year’s competition was one of the most competitive they have seen, with events going down to the wire and testing the resilience of all athletes.
He says the win is even more special as Nakasi had finished as runners-up in previous years.
Chand also expressed confidence that Nakasi High School can compete with the best in the country following their strong performance.
