The Digicel Fiji U19 women's team has qualified for the OFC Women's U19 Championship semi finals after beating New Caledonia 1-0 tonight in an exciting quarter final clash at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Emma Meresia scored in the 85th minute to seal the win for the Young Kulas.

Both teams headed into halftime with the score tied at nil-all.

New Caledonia applied a lot of pressure in the first spell but Fiji held their ground in defence.

The Young Kulas came back in the second spell and put the pressure on New Caledonia all throughout the second half before Meresia found the back of the net 5 minutes from full time.

Fiji will now take on Samoa in the semi final next Wednesday with the time to be confirmed.
